Many thanks to the wonderful Whippoorwill Arts organization for awarding me with a fellowship in 2020, alongside other lovely musicians Snap Jackson, Annie Staninec, Ramblin’ Jack Elliott, and Kamara Thomas. With their generous financial support, I was able to aquire some recording gear and make a recording called Impromptu Sessions No. 1: Brittany Haas which came out in March 2022 on Padiddle Records, the same label that houses Hawktail’s music. Speaking of my band Hawktail, we have a new album that just came out, called “Place of Growth;” hear it/get it here! Thanks for visiting, and I hope you’re keeping well. Feel free to get in touch, and I’ll post again when there are new things to tell about. Oh - one more thing - if you’re wanting some music instruction, I’ll be giving a live workshop via Peghead Nation alongside music educator Lauren Rioux of JamWithLauren over 6 sessions that you can sign up for over yonder. All the best to yas!
early 2020
Hello friends. It’s 2020 now and I don’t know how we’ve all made it this far. But I’m very glad to be here. What I’ve been up to lately is mostly Hawktail—touring, and releasing our second album in January. It’s called “Formations” and I couldn’t be more proud of how it turned out. We even put it on vinyl, and will be carefully packing those into our merch tub and toting them around the country on our weekend jaunts this winter, spring, and summer. I hope to see you all out there somewhere, and sincerely thank you for your continued support, for listening to the music we’re making in whatever manner you choose and caring to come see it live.

Summertime is here. After a spring spent largely at home in Nashville, I'm excited to head out and explore again. I'll be teaching music at a number of gatherings around the country, as well as performing at some festivals with a few regular concerts in between. I hope to see you out there somewhere along the road!
